Spring 2024 most sustainable trends

Trends remain the reason for fashion’s unsustainability. Choosing them increases impulse buying, creating them makes IP nightmares and Chancing them creates the waste we all deal with now. However, It’s Spring and after a harsh winter, new clothes call. So we break down 3 current trends that be worth investing because of sustainable features.

White Dress

The lack of dyes makes this one of the most sustainable trends for Spring 2024. The dress styles composed of cotton (especially organic) remain the most sustainable. We also love the lack of stretch (which means no plastic) but it also means you will have to size up when buying this style.

Pencil Skirt

The second most sustainable fashion trend of Spring 2024 goes to the pencil skirt. This trend can be found in any closet making it a really accessible trend. It already resides in your closet and if not, it’s easy to sew.

Secondly, a pencil skirt sewing pattern remains one of the first skirts most people learn to sew.  We love this tutorial for Spring 2024.

Stick to linen and cotton blends but remember when working with fabric without plastic, increase seam allowance. If purchasing this trend, go up one size if skipping polyester blends.

Shorts

Another great trend that exists in your closet, shorts are so flexible. Dress them up with blouses or down with tees. The length, style and materials do not matter since we saw all types of styles on the runway.

As for body conscious styles. a high waist short remains perfect for short torsos and no waist body types.  The only prerequisite I see for this season’s short is fit, preferring a loose fit rather than the biker shorts of the past seasons.

What do you think? Which trends do you already have?
