ABOUT THE INSPIRATION
Lace trim bangle embodies the “coquette” aesthetic, now known for its pink, frilly, and hyper-feminine look, has roots in the French word “coquette,” meaning “a woman who flirts,” and its origins can be traced back to the Victorian era and Italian theatrical traditions. Historically, the coquette aesthetic finds its roots in Rococo, the style of European royalty in the 18th century. According to “History of Costume,” Marie Antoinette, the queen of France, is the one who pioneered and made the most prominent influences.
Our collection explores the combination of feminist views meeting a more conservative worldview as both clash in 2025’s political and social landscape. Trad wife trends meets a heighted need to raise female voices. We combined soft and hard elements to showcase this clash of word views.
